Coach Leon Spector started to fence when he was 8. In the mid-seventies he fenced as a member of the Kyrgyz Youth Sabre Team in the USSR Junior Olympics 1978. By the end of high school coach Leon earned the title of Master of Sports in Fencing. He continued competitive fencing as a team captain during his college. Leon Spector graduated with MS in Civil Engineering.

In 1990 he with his wife Marina Spector immigrated to the US where Leon Spector resumed competitive fencing. Leon Spector started coaching in 2005 with Altitude Fencing School and in 2006 he founded ESCRIMEUR. Coach Leon's philosophy, personal teaching style and creative approach help him to bring up fencers in the best fencing traditions.

Marina Spector brings to Escrimeur her rich experience in various fields of human relations. Holding MS degree in Philology and English Literature, Marina worked as administrator and program manager in various industries: children education, community services, travel, medicine.
